The folks in Georgia aren’t joking around when they call it “cruel.”
The Cruel Jewel 100 actually measures 105.9 miles through the Chattahoochee National Forest in northern Georgia. Along the way, 33,000 feet of vertical gain are sprinkled in – oftentimes through thick humidity or whatever else Mother Nature chooses to throw at the runners. Jake Dissinger spent the 2015 season racing at the front of the pack, highlighted by first-place finishes at the Cape Cod Trail Race 50K, BURCS Summer Fat Ass 6-Hour Run, and the Six Hours in Paradise 6-Hour Race.

MassUltra Roundup: Rusieckis Sweep Titles at Bull Run Run
Virginia has been mighty good to Brian and Amy Rusiecki.
Last October, the husband and wife trail-running duo from South Deerfield, Mass., traveled to Swoope, Va., and returned home with the men’s and women’s championships at the Grindstone 100.
