Joe Loureiro’s presence loomed large over the aid station at the 2024 TARC Spring Classic. A longtime Trail Animal, Loureiro passed away a week prior to the race. In addition to his photo, Loureiro’s friend and training partner Will Swenson spoke of him prior to the race, and friend Pedro Grullon carried Loureiro’s race bib throughout the 50K race.
