Third Time’s a Charm for Levy at Cape Cod Trail Race 50K

Rob Levy has steadily climbed the podium at the Cape Cod Trail Race, and this year he finally reached the top.

Levy, 41, won the 50K race in 4:34:53, on Sunday, April 10, at the Frances A. Crane Wildlife Management Area in East Falmouth, Mass.

The Somersworth, N.H., resident’s victory at the third annual event was his first after taking third at the inaugural race in 2014 and second in 2015.

Levy’s victory came by a 13-minute margin as Rick Kraics, 40, of Marstons Mills, Mass., finished second in 4:47:57. Sean Donohure, 35, of Buzzards Bay, Mass., took third in 4:51:12.

Kara Spera, 33, of Lynn, Mass., was 10th overall and the women’s champion in 5:28:42.

In addition to the ultra distance, the event also included a marathon, half marathon, and 10K.
